In the 1st quarter of 2017, US trade with Australia totaled $8.1 billion, up 11.20% ($0.8 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US exports to Australia in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $5.7 billion, up 14.55% ($0.7 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US imports from Australia in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $2.4 billion, up 4.12% ($0.1 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US trade surplus with Australia in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $3.2 billion, a 23.91% increase ($0.6 billion) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Australia was the US 24th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.8667% of US total trade (up from 0.8356% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Australia was the US 17th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 1.5264% of US total exports (up from 1.4284% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Australia was the US 33rd largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 31st in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.4322% of US total imports (down from 0.4451% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
