US Trade with Bangladesh

In the first half of 2017, US trade with Bangladesh totaled $3,787.3 million, up 5.25% ($188.9 million) from the first half of 2016.

US exports to Bangladesh in the first half of 2017 totaled $773.4 million, up 75.87% ($333.7 million) from the first half of 2016.

US imports from Bangladesh in the first half of 2017 were $3,013.9 million, down 4.58% ($144.7 million) from the first half of 2016.

US trade deficit with Bangladesh in the first half of 2017 was $2,240.4 million, a 17.60% decrease ($478.4 million) over the first half of 2016.

Bangladesh was the US 51st largest trading partner in the first half of 2017 (down from 50th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.1968% of US total trade (down from 0.1998% in the first half of 2016).

Bangladesh was the US 66th largest export market in the first half of 2017 (up from 79th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.1021% of US total exports (up from 0.0618% in the first half of 2016).

Bangladesh was the US 42nd largest supplier in the first half of 2017 (down from 38th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.2582% of US total imports (down from 0.2899% in the first half of 2016).

The largest declines in US exports to Bangladesh in the first half of 2017 over the first half of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
