In the 1st quarter of 2017, US trade with Chile was $6.4 billion, down 1.72% ($0.1 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US exports to Chile in the 1st quarter of 2017 were $3.1 billion, down 15.04% ($0.6 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US imports from Chile in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $3.3 billion, up 15.55% ($0.4 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US trade balance with Chile went from a surplus of $0.8 billion in the 1st quarter of 2016, to a deficit of $0.2 billion in the 1st quarter of 2017.

Chile was the US 28th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 27th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.6875% of US total trade (down from 0.7499% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
