In the 2nd quarter of 2017, US trade with Costa Rica totaled $2.8 billion, up 5.10% ($0.1 billion) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Costa Rica in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $1.5 billion, up 3.62% ($0.1 billion) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Costa Rica in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $1.3 billion, up 6.87% ($0.1 billion) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US trade surplus with Costa Rica in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $0.2 billion, a 12.99% decrease ($0.0 billion) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Costa Rica was the US 42nd largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 40th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2868% of US total trade (down from 0.2908% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).
