US Trade with Germany

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, US trade with Germany totaled $42.8 billion, up 2.96% ($1.2 billion) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $13.1 billion, up 9.01% ($1.1 billion) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $29.7 billion, up 0.52% ($0.2 billion) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with Germany in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $16.7 billion, a 5.27% decrease ($0.9 billion) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Germany was the US 5th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 4.3415% of US total trade (down from 4.4939% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Germany was the US 7th largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 6th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 3.3997% of US total exports (up from 3.2999% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Germany was the US 5th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (just as in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 4.9435% of US total imports (down from 5.2664% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).
