In the first half of 2017, US trade with Italy totaled $33.6 billion, up 8.20% ($2.5 billion) from the first half of 2016.

US exports to Italy in the first half of 2017 totaled $9.2 billion, up 12.40% ($1.0 billion) from the first half of 2016.

US imports from Italy in the first half of 2017 totaled $24.4 billion, up 6.69% ($1.5 billion) from the first half of 2016.

US trade deficit with Italy in the first half of 2017 was $15.1 billion, a 3.48% increase ($0.5 billion) over the first half of 2016.

Italy was the US 11th largest trading partner in the first half of 2017 (just as in the first half of 2016), accounting for 1.7454% of US total trade (up from 1.7242% in the first half of 2016).

Italy was the US 19th largest export market in the first half of 2017 (up from 20th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 1.2198% of US total exports (up from 1.1557% in the first half of 2016).

Italy was the US 10th largest supplier in the first half of 2017 (just as in the first half of 2016), accounting for 2.0862% of US total imports (down from 2.0952% in the first half of 2016).
