In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Italy totaled $50.2 billion, up 7.31% ($3.4 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Italy in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $13.4 billion, up 8.40% ($1.0 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Italy in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $36.8 billion, up 6.92% ($2.4 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade deficit with Italy in the first nine months of 2017 was $23.3 billion, a 6.08% increase ($1.3 billion) over the first nine months of 2016.

Italy was the US 11th largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (just as in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 1.7230% of US total trade (down from 1.7839% in the first nine months of 2016).

Italy was the US 19th largest export market in the first nine months of 2017 (up from 20th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 1.1781% of US total exports (up from 1.1699% in the first nine months of 2016).

Italy was the US 9th largest supplier in the first nine months of 2017 (up from 10th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 2.0730% of US total imports (down from 2.1994% in the first nine months of 2016).
