US exports to Japan in 2018 totaled $75.0 billion, up 10.74% ($7.3 billion) from 2017.

US imports from Japan in 2018 totaled $146.1 billion, up 4.44% ($6.2 billion) from 2017.

US trade deficit with Japan in 2018 was $71.1 billion, a 1.47% decrease ($1.1 billion) over 2017.

Japan was the US 4th largest trading partner in 2018 (just as in 2017), accounting for 5.1633% of US total trade (down from 5.2486% in 2017).

Japan was the US 4th largest export market in 2018 (just as in 2017), accounting for 4.5033% of US total exports (up from 4.3784% in 2017).
