US Trade with Kazakhstan

In the 1st quarter of 2017, US trade with Kazakhstan totaled $405.0 million, up 36.21% ($107.7 million) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US exports to Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $133.3 million, up 28.46% ($29.5 million) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US imports from Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $271.8 million, up 40.35% ($78.1 million) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with Kazakhstan in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $138.5 million, a 54.07% increase ($48.6 million) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

Kazakhstan was the US 83rd largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 88th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0432% of US total trade (up from 0.0340% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

Kazakhstan was the US 91st largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (up from 94th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0358% of US total exports (up from 0.0298% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

  • Natural or cultured pearls, precious or semi-precious stones,precious metals, metals clad with precious metal and articles thereof; imitation jewelry; coin (HS code 71) - a decrease of $0.5 million.
