In the 4th quarter of 2017, US trade with Kuwait was $1.7 billion, down 21.88% ($0.5 billion) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US exports to Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2017 were $1.1 billion, down 8.63% ($0.1 billion) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US imports from Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2017 were $0.6 billion, down 38.00% ($0.4 billion) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US trade surplus with Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $0.5 billion, a 127.40% increase ($0.3 billion) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Kuwait was the US 55th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 47th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1603% of US total trade (down from 0.2226% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Kuwait was the US 46th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 42nd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2633% of US total exports (down from 0.3101% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Kuwait was the US 64th largest supplier in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 53rd in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0943% of US total imports (down from 0.1657% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

The major share of US exports to Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2017 (and in the 4th quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

The largest declines in US exports to Kuwait in the 4th quarter of 2017 over the 4th quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:
