In the first half of 2017, US trade with Malaysia totaled $25.1 billion, up 4.47% ($1.1 billion) from the first half of 2016.

US exports to Malaysia in the first half of 2017 totaled $6.6 billion, up 12.86% ($0.8 billion) from the first half of 2016.

US imports from Malaysia in the first half of 2017 totaled $18.5 billion, up 1.75% ($0.3 billion) from the first half of 2016.

US trade deficit with Malaysia in the first half of 2017 was $11.8 billion, a 3.58% decrease ($0.4 billion) over the first half of 2016.

Malaysia was the US 17th largest trading partner in the first half of 2017 (up from 18th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 1.3050% of US total trade (down from 1.3352% in the first half of 2016).

Malaysia was the US 22nd largest export market in the first half of 2017 (up from 24th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.8780% of US total exports (up from 0.8284% in the first half of 2016).

Malaysia was the US 14th largest supplier in the first half of 2017 (up from 15th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 1.5819% of US total imports (down from 1.6659% in the first half of 2016).
