In the 1st quarter of 2017, US trade with Malta was $165.9 million, down 77.81% ($581.9 million) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US exports to Malta in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $119.7 million, up 133.60% ($68.5 million) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US imports from Malta in the 1st quarter of 2017 were $46.2 million, down 93.37% ($650.4 million) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US trade balance with Malta went from a deficit of $645.3 million in the 1st quarter of 2016, to a surplus of $73.6 million in the 1st quarter of 2017.
