In the first half of 2017, US trade with Malta was $250.5 million, down 74.79% ($743.1 million) from the first half of 2016.

US exports to Malta in the first half of 2017 totaled $160.5 million, up 27.48% ($34.6 million) from the first half of 2016.

US imports from Malta in the first half of 2017 were $90.0 million, down 89.63% ($777.7 million) from the first half of 2016.

US trade balance with Malta went from a deficit of $741.8 million in the first half of 2016, to a surplus of $70.5 million in the first half of 2017.

Malta was the US 114th largest trading partner in the first half of 2017 (down from 74th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.0130% of US total trade (down from 0.0552% in the first half of 2016).
