In 2017, US trade with Nigeria totaled $9,474.2 million, up 51.54% ($3,222.2 million) from 2016.

US exports to Nigeria in 2017 totaled $2,155.1 million, up 14.91% ($279.7 million) from 2016.

US imports from Nigeria in 2017 totaled $7,319.1 million, up 67.23% ($2,942.5 million) from 2016.

US trade deficit with Nigeria in 2017 was $5,164.0 million, a 106.46% increase ($2,662.8 million) over 2016.

Nigeria was the US 48th largest trading partner in 2017 (up from 55th in 2016), accounting for 0.2396% of US total trade (up from 0.1688% in 2016).

Nigeria was the US 57th largest export market in 2017 (up from 59th in 2016), accounting for 0.1394% of US total exports (up from 0.1291% in 2016).
