In the 3rd quarter of 2017, US trade with Portugal totaled $1,254.5 million, up 16.30% ($175.8 million) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $276.3 million, up 51.65% ($94.1 million) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $978.2 million, up 9.12% ($81.7 million) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with Portugal in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $701.9 million, a 1.73% decrease ($12.4 million) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Portugal was the US 60th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 63rd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1271% of US total trade (down from 0.1315% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Portugal was the US 74th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 82nd in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.0725% of US total exports (up from 0.0526% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Portugal was the US 57th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (just as in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1615% of US total imports (down from 0.1893% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
