In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Portugal totaled $3,557.4 million, up 12.88% ($405.9 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Portugal in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $857.6 million, up 25.41% ($173.8 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Portugal in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $2,699.8 million, up 9.41% ($232.1 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade deficit with Portugal in the first nine months of 2017 was $1,842.1 million, a 3.27% increase ($58.4 million) over the first nine months of 2016.

Portugal was the US 62nd largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (up from 64th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.1222% of US total trade (up from 0.1203% in the first nine months of 2016).

Portugal was the US 73rd largest export market in the first nine months of 2017 (up from 76th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.0753% of US total exports (up from 0.0647% in the first nine months of 2016).
