In the 1st quarter of 2017, US trade with South Korea totaled $29.2 billion, up 3.80% ($1.1 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US exports to South Korea in the 1st quarter of 2017 totaled $11.3 billion, up 15.81% ($1.5 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US imports from South Korea in the 1st quarter of 2017 were $17.9 billion, down 2.56% ($0.5 billion) from the 1st quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with South Korea in the 1st quarter of 2017 was $6.6 billion, a 23.32% decrease ($2.0 billion) over the 1st quarter of 2016.

South Korea was the US 6th largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2017 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 3.1151% of US total trade (down from 3.2174% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

South Korea was the US 8th largest export market in the 1st quarter of 2017 (down from 7th in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 3.0334% of US total exports (up from 2.8078% in the 1st quarter of 2016).

South Korea was the US 6th largest supplier in the 1st quarter of 2017 (just as in the 1st quarter of 2016), accounting for 3.1688% of US total imports (down from 3.4872% in the 1st quarter of 2016).
