US Trade with Taiwan

In 2014, US trade with Taiwan totaled $68.7 billion, up 5.76% ($3.7 billion) from 2013.

US exports to Taiwan in 2014 totaled $26.7 billion, up 3.98% ($1.0 billion) from 2013.

US imports from Taiwan in 2014 totaled $42.0 billion, up 6.92% ($2.7 billion) from 2013.

US trade deficit with Taiwan in 2014 was $15.3 billion, a 12.44% increase ($1.7 billion) over 2013.

Taiwan was the US 10th largest trading partner in 2014 (up from 12th in 2013), accounting for 1.70% of US total trade (up from 1.66% in 2013).

Taiwan was the US 14th largest export market in 2014 (up from 16th in 2013), accounting for 1.65% of US total exports (up from 1.63% in 2013).

Taiwan was the US 12th largest supplier in 2014 (just as in 2013), accounting for 1.74% of US total imports (up from 1.69% in 2013).

The major share of US exports to Taiwan in 2014 (and in 2013) was accounted for the following product types:
