US Trade with Trinidad and Tobago

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, US trade with Trinidad and Tobago totaled $1,433.5 million, up 12.11% ($154.9 million) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Trinidad and Tobago in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were $443.2 million, down 19.41% ($106.7 million) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Trinidad and Tobago in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $990.3 million, up 35.90% ($261.6 million) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with Trinidad and Tobago in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $547.1 million, a 205.99% increase ($368.3 million) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

Trinidad and Tobago was the US 58th largest trading partner in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 62nd in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1453% of US total trade (up from 0.1381% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Trinidad and Tobago was the US 63rd largest export market in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (down from 56th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1152% of US total exports (down from 0.1513% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

Trinidad and Tobago was the US 54th largest supplier in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (up from 59th in the 2nd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1646% of US total imports (up from 0.1297% in the 2nd quarter of 2016).

The major share of US exports to Trinidad and Tobago in the 2nd quarter of 2017 (and in the 2nd quarter of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:
