US Trade with Ukraine

In the first half of 2017, US trade with Ukraine totaled $1,355.0 million, up 80.30% ($603.5 million) from the first half of 2016.

US exports to Ukraine in the first half of 2017 totaled $843.6 million, up 78.84% ($371.9 million) from the first half of 2016.

US imports from Ukraine in the first half of 2017 totaled $511.5 million, up 82.77% ($231.6 million) from the first half of 2016.

US trade surplus with Ukraine in the first half of 2017 was $332.1 million, a 73.10% increase ($140.2 million) over the first half of 2016.

Ukraine was the US 74th largest trading partner in the first half of 2017 (up from 86th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.0704% of US total trade (up from 0.0417% in the first half of 2016).

Ukraine was the US 65th largest export market in the first half of 2017 (up from 78th in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.1114% of US total exports (up from 0.0663% in the first half of 2016).

Ukraine was the US 73rd largest supplier in the first half of 2017 (up from 83rd in the first half of 2016), accounting for 0.0438% of US total imports (up from 0.0257% in the first half of 2016).

The major share of US exports to Ukraine in the first half of 2017 (and in the first half of 2016) was accounted for the following product types:

  • Mineral products (HS codes 25-27) - 34.63% of US total exports to Ukraine (16.54% in the first half of 2016);
