US Trade with Algeria

In the 2nd quarter of 2017, US trade with Algeria was $1,317.2 million, down 3.77% ($51.7 million) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2017 were $381.2 million, down 39.97% ($253.8 million) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2017 totaled $936.0 million, up 27.54% ($202.1 million) from the 2nd quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2017 was $554.9 million, a 460.40% increase ($455.9 million) over the 2nd quarter of 2016.

The largest declines in US exports to Algeria in the 2nd quarter of 2017 over the 2nd quarter of 2016 were recorded for the following product groups:

  • Pharmaceutical products (HS code 30) - a decrease of $2.6 million;
  • Tools, implements, cutlery, spoons and forks, of base metal; parts thereof of base metal (HS code 82) - a decrease of $2.6 million;
