In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Angola was $2,665.4 million, down 19.67% ($652.5 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Angola in the first nine months of 2017 were $662.3 million, down 33.96% ($340.6 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Angola in the first nine months of 2017 were $2,003.1 million, down 13.47% ($311.9 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade deficit with Angola in the first nine months of 2017 was $1,340.8 million, a 2.19% increase ($28.7 million) over the first nine months of 2016.

Angola was the US 65th largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (down from 63rd in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.0915% of US total trade (down from 0.1266% in the first nine months of 2016).

  • Wadding, felt and nonwovens; special yarns, twine, cordage, ropes and cables and articles thereof (HS code 56) - a decrease of $4.8 million;
  • Rubber and articles thereof (HS code 40) - a decrease of $3.8 million;
  • Tools, implements, cutlery, spoons and forks, of base metal; parts thereof of base metal (HS code 82) - a decrease of $3.4 million.
