In the 3rd quarter of 2017, US trade with Australia totaled $8.8 billion, up 6.42% ($0.5 billion) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Australia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $6.0 billion, up 2.62% ($0.2 billion) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Australia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $2.8 billion, up 15.68% ($0.4 billion) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US trade surplus with Australia in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $3.2 billion, a 6.49% decrease ($0.2 billion) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Australia was the US 22nd largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (up from 24th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.8933% of US total trade (down from 1.0102% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
