In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Australia totaled $25.9 billion, up 8.12% ($1.9 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Australia in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $18.1 billion, up 8.87% ($1.5 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Australia in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $7.8 billion, up 6.42% ($0.5 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade surplus with Australia in the first nine months of 2017 was $10.3 billion, a 10.81% increase ($1.0 billion) over the first nine months of 2016.

Australia was the US 24th largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (just as in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.8900% of US total trade (down from 0.9146% in the first nine months of 2016).

Australia was the US 16th largest export market in the first nine months of 2017 (down from 15th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 1.5889% of US total exports (up from 1.5712% in the first nine months of 2016).
