In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Brazil totaled $49.5 billion, up 17.90% ($7.5 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Brazil in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $26.9 billion, up 21.93% ($4.8 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Brazil in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $22.6 billion, up 13.44% ($2.7 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade surplus with Brazil in the first nine months of 2017 was $4.3 billion, a 101.45% increase ($2.2 billion) over the first nine months of 2016.

Brazil was the US 12th largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (up from 14th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 1.6996% of US total trade (up from 1.6016% in the first nine months of 2016).

Brazil was the US 10th largest export market in the first nine months of 2017 (up from 12th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 2.3614% of US total exports (up from 2.0848% in the first nine months of 2016).

Brazil was the US 17th largest supplier in the first nine months of 2017 (just as in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 1.2747% of US total imports (up from 1.2746% in the first nine months of 2016).
