In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Canada totaled $437,622.9 million, up 13.48% ($51,990.1 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Canada in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $210,108.0 million, up 9.80% ($18,751.2 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Canada in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $227,514.9 million, up 17.11% ($33,238.8 million) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade deficit with Canada in the first nine months of 2017 was $17,407.0 million, a 496.26% increase ($14,487.6 million) over the first nine months of 2016.

Canada was the US 2nd largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (down from 1st in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 15.0309% of US total trade (up from 14.7157% in the first nine months of 2016).

Canada was the US largest export market in the first nine months of 2017 (just as in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 18.4548% of US total exports (up from 18.0939% in the first nine months of 2016).

Canada was the US 3rd largest supplier in the first nine months of 2017 (down from 2nd in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 12.8323% of US total imports (up from 12.4298% in the first nine months of 2016).
