In the 3rd quarter of 2017, US trade with Costa Rica totaled $2,621.5 million, up 1.89% ($48.7 million) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US exports to Costa Rica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 were $1,429.0 million, down 2.54% ($37.3 million) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US imports from Costa Rica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 totaled $1,192.5 million, up 7.77% ($86.0 million) from the 3rd quarter of 2016.

US trade surplus with Costa Rica in the 3rd quarter of 2017 was $236.6 million, a 34.26% decrease ($123.3 million) over the 3rd quarter of 2016.

Costa Rica was the US 44th largest trading partner in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 41st in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2656% of US total trade (down from 0.3138% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Costa Rica was the US 39th largest export market in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 35th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.3748% of US total exports (down from 0.4232% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).

Costa Rica was the US 50th largest supplier in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (down from 49th in the 3rd quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.1969% of US total imports (down from 0.2337% in the 3rd quarter of 2016).
