In the 4th quarter of 2017, US trade with Costa Rica totaled $2,945.5 million, up 7.56% ($207.1 million) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US exports to Costa Rica in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $1,737.4 million, up 7.48% ($120.9 million) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US imports from Costa Rica in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $1,208.1 million, up 7.68% ($86.2 million) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US trade surplus with Costa Rica in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $529.3 million, a 7.04% increase ($34.8 million) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Costa Rica was the US 44th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 41st in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.2824% of US total trade (down from 0.2847% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Costa Rica was the US 37th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (down from 34th in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 0.4263% of US total exports (down from 0.4268% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
