In the 4th quarter of 2017, US trade with Germany totaled $45.9 billion, up 10.75% ($4.5 billion) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US exports to Germany in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $14.0 billion, up 12.28% ($1.5 billion) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US imports from Germany in the 4th quarter of 2017 totaled $31.9 billion, up 10.08% ($2.9 billion) from the 4th quarter of 2016.

US trade deficit with Germany in the 4th quarter of 2017 was $17.9 billion, a 8.43% increase ($1.4 billion) over the 4th quarter of 2016.

Germany was the US 5th largest trading partner in the 4th quarter of 2017 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 4.4052% of US total trade (up from 4.3139% in the 4th quarter of 2016).

Germany was the US 6th largest export market in the 4th quarter of 2017 (just as in the 4th quarter of 2016), accounting for 3.4346% of US total exports (up from 3.2914% in the 4th quarter of 2016).
