In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Germany totaled $127.3 billion, up 3.59% ($4.4 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Germany in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $39.1 billion, up 6.54% ($2.4 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Germany in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $88.2 billion, up 2.34% ($2.0 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade deficit with Germany in the first nine months of 2017 was $49.1 billion, a 0.78% decrease ($0.4 billion) over the first nine months of 2016.

Germany was the US 5th largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (just as in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 4.3727% of US total trade (down from 4.6897% in the first nine months of 2016).
