US Trade with Turkey

In the first nine months of 2017, US trade with Turkey totaled $14.3 billion, up 4.89% ($0.7 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US exports to Turkey in the first nine months of 2017 were $7.0 billion, down 3.98% ($0.3 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US imports from Turkey in the first nine months of 2017 totaled $7.3 billion, up 15.04% ($1.0 billion) from the first nine months of 2016.

US trade balance with Turkey went from a surplus of $0.9 billion in the first nine months of 2016, to a deficit of $0.3 billion in the first nine months of 2017.

Turkey was the US 32nd largest trading partner in the first nine months of 2017 (just as in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.4919% of US total trade (down from 0.5210% in the first nine months of 2016).

Turkey was the US 29th largest export market in the first nine months of 2017 (down from 28th in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.6144% of US total exports (down from 0.6888% in the first nine months of 2016).

Turkey was the US 34th largest supplier in the first nine months of 2017 (down from 33rd in the first nine months of 2016), accounting for 0.4132% of US total imports (up from 0.4074% in the first nine months of 2016).
